The regeneration of 15 hectares of former industrial land to deliver a new community over a 10 year period that includes 4,154 residential units and c.35,000sq.m of business, retail, leisure and community space, including a new 2-form entry primary school.
The proposals also created a new riverside park and walkway and a new Thames Clipper pier. Planning services included obtaining planning permission, reserved matters approval, Section 96a and Section 73 approval for substantial scheme amendments and the discharge of planning conditions.
This scheme involved complex discussions with the GLA, LB Newham and representatives of the adjacent safeguarded wharves regarding the potential relationship between existing industries and future residents.
