Client: Surrey County Cricket Club
Architect: Rolfe Judd Architecture
* Project led by Philip Dunphy at previous employment

As part of Surrey County Cricket Club’s ambitious plans to expand this world famous and highly cherished sporting facility, various planning permissions were secured for the redevelopment of the Peter May and Lock Laker Stands and other underused lands at the south eastern corner of the ground.

This substantial transformation, which have now been completed, has significantly increased the seating capacity; introduced an all year round facility with hospitality areas and conference suites with pitch side views and private terraces, and generally improved the spectator experience with covered concourse areas and numerous bars and toilet areas. Planning permission was also secured for a new 80 bedroom hotel to serve the ground on an adjoining site.
